Showtime (Piano Refrain) (featured in the first update ). The original individual four albums note originally released on August 19 2009, December 14 2009, December 15 2009, and Aprespectively are no longer available for purchase. It was released on October 24, 2011, containing (almost) all the tracks of Volumes 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as three "new" tracks, originally created in early 2010 to substitute for tracks removed due to dispute-related departures from the music team, but were not previously available in any other album these three tracks are available separately for free. It covers music from Act 1 to the middle of Act 4. 1-4 is a Compilation Rerelease of the first, second, third, and fifth official releases of Homestuck music, re-released at a cheaper price. These albums typically have music that does not appear in the comic at all. Typically, these albums explore genres not normally done on the team albums, and play around with the format more. Solo Albums: Beginning with the release of Strife note Alternia was also a solo album, but it doesn't fit in with the pattern of the others, being priced at $6.12, and the themes are recurring, Andrew has decided to showcase the talents of the individuals of the music team by giving them all a chance to perform solo. 
At least two have been "composed" by characters in the comic itself.
Side Projects: Often explore groups or material running parallel to the story. Numbered Volumes: Contain most of the music used in the comic, and pertain most closely to the events of the story. 
As such, music on this page falls into one of three categories: By and large, the first several albums are composed entirely of music that has been used in the comic, but as the comic has gone on, the artists simply churn out more music than Andrew Hussie could ever possibly use, much to the benefit of the readers.
